About AniPixel AI

An independent web app for turning images into pixel art with AI, then finishing them with free tools that run in your browser.

What AniPixel does

AniPixel combines an AI-assisted Pixelize tool with free browser utilities for removing flat-color backgrounds, recovering a logical pixel grid, and classic mosaic-style pixelation. Pixelize redraws a source image into a pixel-art direction; it is not a simple mosaic filter. The free tools run locally, need no credits, and work whether or not you are signed in.

Typical paths: try Pixelize with starter credits after sign-in, export a PNG, then optionally clean a backdrop or crisp-scale the result. Step-by-step product docs live in Guides. Avatars, stickers, chat emotes, and photos all start in Pixelize.

What AniPixel is not

AniPixel is not a full hand-drawn sprite editor, a tilesheet production suite, or a promise that every AI redraw will match a photo pixel-for-pixel. Results vary by source, preset, and framing. For game-ready assets you should still review and edit outputs against your project's constraints. Classic mosaic without AI redraw belongs in Pixelate, not Pixelize.

How we create our guides

Our guides document AniPixel's real controls, limits, and workflows. We update them when the product changes and use original screenshots from the app where a visual walkthrough helps. Guides are written to answer decisions (which preset, when VIP helps, when a free tool is enough)—not to invent rankings or unverifiable claims.

Credits, plans, and privacy

Pixelize uses credits (one credit per generated image; failed jobs refund). New accounts receive a small starter grant. Monthly plans add VIP controls and a credit pool; one-time packs add credits only. Free tools never spend credits. Billing and membership details are managed from Account after you sign in; plan choices start on Pricing.

Pixelize sends uploads and generation instructions to third-party AI providers. Local tools such as Remove Background keep processing in the browser. Retention for Pixelize History, data handling, and terms are described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
